I graduated with an AAS degree from BMCC 4 years ago and is now attending Brooklyn College in pursuit to complete my BS degree in Business Management. According to my cirriculum tracker, I am 65% finished. I am currently a part-time student since I have a full time job. I should be going full time student soon after this semester.

The reason for returning for my BS degree is so that I can remove myself from this dreadful job that I have. I may work for a widely known company (JP Morgan Chase) but the work is mindless and work ethics are horrid.

I started as an associate 3 years ago and have been a team leader for the past 2 years. My job at JP Morgan Chase as a Operations Team Leader may sound interesting, but the Operations part of the job is definitly no fun. Our department is basically a check processing facility where we deposit checks that are being sent out by people like you and I or business owners. We process checks from $.01 cent to millions of dollars everyday. This is a manual labor intensive job where operators spend countless hours opening envelopes and scanning documents and checks. My job as a Team Leader is to manage a team of 9-13 people each day ensuring that all check/documents are scanned properly and timely to meet our customer's requests.

This team leader title has given me a lot of experience in how everyday work and management can be and linked together with the BS degree I will be getting from BC, I am hoping for a brighter future.
